JORJA NYSTROM
ON-ICE & FACILITY COACH
Jorja has been playing hockey for 15 years, starting her journey on the ice at the age of 5. Before joining the University of New Brunswick Women’s Hockey Team where she is a 2x AUS Champion, Jorja played for the U18 AAA Pandas and was a Provincial Champion in 2022. Jorja has also represented Alberta at the elite level, earning a bronze and sliver medal with Team Alberta U16 as well as a silver medal with Team Alberta U18.
Jorja has been coaching with Total Speed Hockey for 3 years and has also worked with Competitive Thread and EAT Development and Conditioning. Her experience coaching competitive programs has honed her ability to develop young athletes’ skills and confidence.
In her 3rd year at UNB, Jorja is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology while continuing her hockey career. She has been an integral part of Total Speed’s Little Skaters Programs, where her passion for engaging with younger athletes shines. Jorja is dedicated to helping young players build confidence, master foundational skills, and develop a love for the game.

Outside of hockey, Jorja enjoys baking and exploring nature on hikes.
