Cassidy is a former professional hockey player, having competed with the Toronto Furies in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL) during the 2017-2018 season.

Collegiate Playing Career:
Cassidy played for Elmira College from 2011 to 2015, achieving notable milestones:

• 2013 NCAA Division III National Champion

• 2015 NCAA Division III National Runner-Up

• NCAA Record Holder for most power-play goals in a single season (17), a record that still stands.

• Division III Statistical Leader in game-winning goals during the 2014-2015 season.

Cassidy has been coaching for over 11 years, bringing experience and expertise to every program she leads. Her coaching highlights include:

• Assistant Coach for UNB Women’s Hockey Team (2024-25 marks her seventh season with the program, serving as their skating and skills coach since its reinstatement).

• Assistant Coach for U15 Major Blues (2022-2025 seasons).

• Assistant Coach of RNS Prep Girls Hockey Team.

• Coach of the Year (2016) in the Alberta Female Hockey League (AFHL).

• Assistant Coach for U18 Team NB (2019-2020).

• Assistant Coach for U18 Team Atlantic, competing at the U18 National Championship in Morden, Manitoba.

• Coaching roles with Leo Hayes High School, Hockey Alberta, and Team New Brunswick.

Cassidy’s dedication to hockey extends from her professional career into her coaching philosophy. She has worked with athletes across all levels, focusing on skill development, skating, and fostering a love for the game.
